Rivers Assembly probes funding of PAMO university

The Rivers State House of Assembly has set up a committee to investigate the funding of the PAMO University of Medical Sciences (PUMS). This decision follows the approval of the 2026 state budget, which removed 6 billion naira allocated for scholarships at the university. The committee, headed by Hon. Dumle Maol, is expected to submit its report by September 30, 2026.
