Mali: EgyptAir cancels flights from Bamako for the hajj pilgrimage

EgyptAir has canceled its flights from Mali for the hajj pilgrimage, affecting over 4,000 people. This decision is linked to the lack of agreement on covering fuel cost differences and the critical security situation in Mali, where jihadist attacks have occurred. The cancellation affects nearly one-third of the total quota of 13,323 pilgrims allocated to Mali for the 2026 hajj.
