Mali: General Dao Reveals How Kidal Served as Bait for Armed Groups in Anéfis

General Elysée Jean Dao detailed that the Malian army used Kidal as bait to lure armed groups to Anéfis, where they were ambushed. The groups lost 14 armored vehicles, 24 vehicles with heavy weapons, 30 tactical vehicles, and 300 motorcycles. The army claims over a thousand assailants neutralized since July 4, while admitting about thirty Malian soldiers killed.
