Mali: Government Confirms Death of Defense Minister and Provides Details on Circumstances

The Malian government confirmed the death of Defense Minister General Sadio Camara, killed in terrorist attacks in Kati, near Bamako. Camara, 47, was injured by a car bomb and succumbed to his injuries in the hospital. The attacks, claimed by JNIM, also resulted in civilian casualties and material damage. Due to his record in national defense, he will receive national funerals.
