Mali: Jihadist blockade on the capital Bamako, high-security tribute to the slain Defense Minister

Jihadists from JNIM have imposed a road blockade on Bamako, threatening reprisals against anyone attempting to access the city. A national tribute was held for Defense Minister Sadio Camara, killed in attacks against the junta, attended by junta leader Assimi Goïta. The ceremony took place under high security, with a strong military presence and checkpoints set up on routes leading to the capital.
