Man arrested for defrauding young footballers with fake European club trial

Spanish police announced the arrest of a man in Madrid suspected of defrauding young South American footballers by promising them access to football clubs in Spain in exchange for sums of up to 3,000 euros. The victims, often financially struggling, ended up abandoned and without resources after being taken to trials with lower-division teams. The documents presented by the suspect, which were supposed to guarantee their incorporation into the teams, turned out to be falsified.
