A 59-year-old man, Jitu Munda, exhumed his sister Kalra Munda's skeletal remains, who died on January 26, to prove her death and withdraw ₹20,000 from her account at Odisha Grameen Bank. Bank officials refused to release the funds due to the lack of a legal heir. Police intervened to calm the situation and advised Jitu to obtain a legal heir certificate before he could withdraw the money.
