Manqoba Mngqithi, recently appointed head coach of Young Africans (Tanzania), revealed that his long-speculated move to Kaizer Chiefs was blocked by outside interference before formal negotiations even began. Speaking on Radio 2000, he claimed influential figures spoke negatively about him behind the scenes, derailing the opportunity. Mngqithi, who left Mamelodi Sundowns in 2024, had been linked to Chiefs before returning to Golden Arrows.
