Morocco, US Launch African Lion 2026 Military Exercise with Over 5,000 Troops

The Royal Armed Forces of Morocco and the US Armed Forces have launched the 22nd edition of the joint military exercise 'African Lion,' which will run until May 8. The opening ceremony took place in Agadir, co-chaired by Lieutenant General Mohammed Benlouali and Major General Daniel Cederman. Over 5,000 military personnel from 40 countries are participating in this exercise, which includes land, air, and naval operations, as well as training on cybersecurity and electromagnetic warfare.
