Matt Baugh Appointed British High Commissioner to Kenya 7 Months After Neil Wigman’s Exit

The United Kingdom has appointed John William Matthew Baugh, commonly known as Matt Baugh, as the new High Commissioner to Kenya. He succeeds Neil Wigan, who left his position in August last year. Baugh, a former diplomat in Somalia for 20 years, is expected to begin his role in April 2026, pending the acceptance of his credentials by President William Ruto.
