Mauritania: Malian refugees recount their suffering

Cherifa, a Malian refugee, shared her grief after her son was decapitated by a joint patrol of Malian soldiers and Russian paramilitaries. She described the pain of her loss from a makeshift shelter in Mauritania, where she joined other refugees to recount the violence suffered by civilians. The names of the refugees have been changed for security reasons.
