Why some African nations are turning down Trump aid money

Ghana rejected a proposed $109m health deal with the US in April over data protection concerns. Kenya signed a $2.5bn deal with Washington in December, but it was delayed by a court challenge. The Trump administration requires recipient countries to increase their own health spending to reduce dependency, leading to resistance.
