Miwani Sugar gets nod to amend appeal in 9,394 acres of land row

Miwani Sugar Company has been granted permission to amend an appeal regarding the decision that approved the auction of 9,394 acres of land in 2007. The court noted that a mistake in the date of the judgment to be appealed was excusable. Miwani is seeking to overturn the judgment that sanctioned the sale of the land acquired by Crossley Holdings Ltd for Sh752 million. The court ruled that there was no proof of fraud when the land was auctioned.
