In late June, both Yemen's internationally recognized government and the Houthi rebel group began mobilizing fighters. On July 3, a flight from Tehran landed in Sanaa for the first time in over a decade, creating new tensions. The next day, fighting in Hodeidah governorate killed dozens. On Monday, an attempted landing of another Iranian flight led to the bombing of Sanaa airport's runway by the government and the firing of Houthi ballistic missiles at Saudi Arabia.
