Nigeria and the USA eliminate jihadist leader Al-Manuki, Tinubu thanks Trump

Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu announced the elimination of Abu-Bilal Al-Manuki, a senior official of the Islamic State in West Africa, during a joint operation with the United States in the Lake Chad basin. Several of Al-Manuki's lieutenants were also killed, which was described as a 'severe blow' to the organization. Tinubu thanked Donald Trump for his support of this security cooperation and announced the continuation of further operations against terrorist enclaves in Nigeria.
