Morocco Launches $10.8 Million Milk Unit to Boost Agri-Food Industry

Minister of Industry and Trade Ryad Mazzour inaugurated a new pasteurized milk production unit in Kenitra, launched by the agricultural cooperative EXTRALAIT. Valued at MAD 108 million ($10.8 million), the project is expected to create 139 direct jobs and aims to modernize yogurt and butter production lines. Mazzour emphasized that this initiative strengthens national food sovereignty and serves as a development model for cooperatives in Morocco.
