Carlos Alcaraz beats Ben Shelton to win his first Paris Masters

Carlos Alcaraz defeated Ben Shelton 7-6 (7/5), 7-5 in the final to win his first Paris Masters title in Nanterre. The 23-year-old Spaniard claimed the ninth Masters 1000 title of his career and avenged Shelton’s victory over him at the US Open earlier this season. World number three Alcaraz heads to the ATP Finals in Turin with five tour-level titles this year and a nine-match winning streak. World number four Shelton suffered his first defeat in a Masters final after winning his two previous finals.
