Masisi: Kasopo remains under the control of AFC/M23 despite the offensive by FARDC and Wazalendo

The security situation in the Nyamaboko 1st grouping, Osso Banyungu sector, in the Masisi territory remains volatile. Despite the offensive by FARDC and Wazalendo, Kasopo remains under the control of AFC/M23. Government forces control Kibanda, two kilometers south, and Kafunsi to the east, while Kasopo is surrounded by loyalist forces. The situation is tense, and fighting could resume at any moment.
