Naira depreciates by 0.4% at official market

The Naira recorded a slight depreciation of 0.4% at the official market, trading at 1,386.65 Naira to the dollar. Data from the Central Bank of Nigeria showed that the Naira lost 5.86 Naira compared to the 1,380.79 Naira per dollar recorded on April 2. Despite this decline, analysts remain optimistic about the currency's outlook in 2026, citing ongoing reforms by the apex bank.
