Navy hands suspected militant collaborator to DSS in Calabar

The Nigerian Navy handed over a suspected militant collaborator, Ime Edet Ekiko, also known as Pastor Ime, to the Department of State Services (DSS) in Calabar. He was arrested on May 24, 2026, on Dayspring Island in Cross River State following intelligence linking him to a wanted militant, Simeon alias Papi. Investigation revealed that he communicated with the fugitive and concealed equipment used for militant activities. The move is part of ongoing security operations to dismantle criminal networks along the Calabar waterways.
