NBA gives 14-day ultimatum to Abia govt over JUSUN strike

The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has issued a 14-day ultimatum to the Abia State government regarding the strike by the Abia chapter of the Judicial Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN), which began on March 16, 2026. This strike follows the non-implementation of a Memorandum of Understanding signed on June 14, 2023. The NBA also expressed dissatisfaction with the government's refusal to grant financial autonomy to the state judiciary. If the demands are not met, the NBA threatens to take further action.
