NDC begins reconciliation, defends primaries

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has begun a reconciliation process to address grievances from its primary elections held last weekend. At a National Executive Committee meeting, the party rejected allegations of irregularities and candidate imposition, calling them false. National Secretary Ikenna Morgan Enekweizu stated the party never imposed candidates, and dissatisfied aspirants can test their popularity at the grassroots level. The party also identified caucus leaders in the South-East to coordinate consultations.
