NDPC probes alleged data breach involving banks

The Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) has initiated an investigation into an alleged data breach involving Remita Payment Services Ltd. and Sterling Bank. Mr. Babatunde Bamigboye stated that a notice of investigation was served on April 1, and relevant parties are providing information to assist the investigation. The aim is to ensure data subjects are protected with appropriate technical and organizational measures.
