Nearly 500 confirmed cases in Central Africa Ebola outbreak – WHO

The WHO has recorded 452 confirmed cases and 82 deaths in the Democratic Republic of Congo, where the outbreak was declared three weeks ago, and 19 confirmed cases and 2 deaths in neighboring Uganda. The total of 471 cases and 84 deaths marks an increase of 100 cases and 20 deaths in one day. The WHO and Africa CDC launched a $518 million plan to combat the outbreak.
