Nenadi Usman emerges substantive LP national chairman

Nenadi Esther Usman has been elected the substantive National Chairman of the Labour Party (LP) at the 2026 elective national convention held in Umuahia, Abia State. She replaces Senator Darlington Nwokocha, who previously served as Secretary of the Caretaker Committee. Hon. Acho Obioma, a former member of the House of Representatives, has been elected as the party's National Secretary. All members of the new National Working Committee were elected through a consensus arrangement.
