Born during Israel’s genocide: Gaza’s child survivors bear the scars of war

Nour Abu Samaan was born on October 7, 2023, just before the start of a genocidal war in Gaza. At just two days old, she was diagnosed with movement paralysis after inhaling toxic gases from an Israeli strike. Her mother, Samar Hammad, managed to evacuate Nour from a hospital before it was bombed, making Nour the sole survivor of a deadly attack.
