NGE, NUJ, SERAP to Tinubu: Investigate threats against Okinbaloye, other journalists

The Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE), Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), and the Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) have called on President Bola Tinubu to investigate threats made against Channels Television presenter Seun Okinbaloye by Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike. Wike expressed his displeasure during a media chat, threatening Okinbaloye after comments regarding the 2027 elections. The groups condemned these remarks and demanded measures to ensure the safety of journalists in Nigeria.
