Over 2,000 Nigerians stranded in India deportation camp — Detainee Ekene

A Nigerian, Mr. Ekene, currently detained in a deportation camp in India, alleged that delays in obtaining travel documents and slow processing of deportation cases are keeping over 2,000 Nigerians stranded. Although the Indian government granted a targeted amnesty to undocumented Nigerian migrants, Ekene emphasized that the main issue is the lack of necessary documents for detainees to leave the camp. He also noted that some detainees had already left under this amnesty, but many others remain stuck.
