Nigel Farage received £5m from donor before he became MP

Nigel Farage received £5m from Reform UK donor Christopher Harborne before becoming an MP. Farage stated that the money was for his personal protection following a firebomb attack on his home. Both Labour and Conservative parties have accused him of failing to declare the donation in the Parliamentary register of interests. Farage and his team claim there was no requirement to declare the money as it was a personal gift.
