Nigerien authorities have released two journalists, Gazali Abdou from Deutsche Welle and Hassane Zada from Toubal Info, after several months in detention. Gazali Abdou was arrested in January for reporting on refugees fleeing Nigeria, while Hassane Zada was sentenced to 30 months in prison for insulting the junta leader, Abdourahamane Tiani.
