Nigerian govt promises subsidy for Christian pilgrims

The Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission (NCPC) announced it will subsidize travel costs for Christian pilgrims. Federal Commissioner Simon Dolly stated that the federal government would cover part of the expenses, allowing pilgrims to pay only 3.5 million Naira instead of 7 million. He also urged the board to expand its sponsorship to individuals and political representatives to reduce dependency on government support.
