NLC urges Bauchi govt to clear gratuities, improve workers’ welfare

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Bauchi State Council, called on the state government to establish a clear framework for the payment of outstanding gratuities owed to retired civil servants. During the International Workers’ Day celebration, NLC Chairman Dauda Shuaibu emphasized the need to clear the backlog of gratuities and allocate houses built under the Civil Servants Housing Scheme. The NLC also urged the resumption of the leave transport grant and the reactivation of motorcycle and car loan schemes to improve workers’ mobility.
