The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) and other filling stations significantly reduced the price of premium motor spirit on Wednesday, June 3, 2026. This reduction follows a 463% increase in fuel price under President Tinubu's tenure. The naira continues to appreciate against the dollar in the official foreign exchange market. Investors recorded a massive loss of N2.29 trillion on the Nigerian Exchange Group (NGX) in two days.
