The National Palm Produce Association of Nigeria (NPPAN) announced plans to commence massive oil palm plantations in northern Nigeria. NPPAN President Dr. Alphonsus Inyang stated that Taraba State, with over 69,000 square kilometers of land, is partnering with the association to become a hub for oil palm production. He also noted that other states like Niger, Kogi, and Nasarawa have suitable terrains for oil palm cultivation.
