Diario Ole: New IFAB Measures Reinforce Morocco’s AFCON Case

On April 28, IFAB and FIFA approved a new disciplinary rule allowing referees to issue direct red cards to players who leave the pitch to protest against a referee's decision. This decision strengthens Morocco's position regarding Senegal's walk-off during the AFCON final, deemed reprehensible. Had this rule been in effect during the January 18 incident, all Senegalese players except Mane would have received red cards, resulting in Morocco winning by forfeit.
