PASTEF in Congress: The Hour of Maturity for the Patriotic Party, 1,200 Delegates in Dakar

The first ordinary congress of PASTEF-Les Patriotes opened on June 6, 2026 in Dakar with 1,200 delegates. The party, founded twelve years ago, transitions from opposition to state-building. The agenda includes adopting statutes, internal regulations, a political orientation text, a code of ethics, and an internal election charter. Numerous international guests are present, including from Rwanda (Rwandan Patriotic Front), Mauritania (INSaf), Gambia, Kenya, Tanzania, Jamaica, Ivory Coast, and the Comoros.
