John Ternus succeeds Tim Cook as Apple CEO after 15 years

John Ternus has officially taken over as CEO of Apple, succeeding Tim Cook, who led the company for 15 years. Ternus, who joined Apple in 2001, had been serving as senior vice president of hardware engineering since 2021. Cook will transition to the role of executive chairman. Ternus has overseen the launch of several flagship products during his career at Apple.
