Ruto Injects Ksh50 Million to Shirikiana Sacco After Launch in Kakamega

President William Ruto announced a Ksh50 million investment in Shirikiana Sacco during its launch at Masinde Muliro University in Kakamega on June 13, 2026. Ruto, who will become a member, said the Sacco is vital for access to healthcare and education. CS Wycliffe Oparanya noted that the Sacco, with coffee as its anchor value chain, aims to boost the economy of Western Kenya. The Sacco currently has about 100,000 members and targets 250,000 by the end of 2026.
