20 million children a year face online sexual abuse, UNICEF says

According to a UNICEF report, as many as 20 million children in 21 countries have experienced online sexual abuse or exploitation each year. More than one in five children aged 12 to 17 have been targeted on digital platforms. Social media facilitated more than half of the abuse cases, and less than 1 percent of incidents were reported to authorities.
