Gov Alia, Akume hold peace talks in Benue

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, and Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, are currently holding a closed-door meeting at the Benue State Government House. This meeting follows President Bola Tinubu’s directive for both leaders to urgently resolve their differences. Initially scheduled for April 30, 2026, the meeting was rescheduled to May 3, 2026, and aims to address the ongoing internal crisis within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
