The Federal High Court in Abuja ruled that activist Omoyele Sowore has a case to answer regarding a cybercrime charge filed by the Department of State Services (DSS). Judge Mohammed Umar dismissed Sowore's request for acquittal, stating that the DSS had established a prima facie case. Sowore, who was charged for calling President Bola Tinubu a 'criminal' in a social media post, is required to open his defense on May 19.
