Obituary: The Mayor of Darou Nahim, Cheikh Bara Guèye, has passed away

The mayor of Darou Nahim, Cheikh Bara Guèye, passed away this Saturday in Dakar after a long illness. He dedicated his life to the development of his community, focusing on improving infrastructure, education, and local services. Cheikh Bara Guèye was also the head of the Benno Bokk Yaakar coalition during the 2022 legislative elections and a devoted mouride disciple, committed to the teachings of Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba Mbacké.
