The Oyo State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) held parallel state congresses ahead of the 2027 elections. A court ruling on a suit seeking the removal of Mark and Aregbesola as ADC leaders has been postponed to April 14. Additionally, the Jigawa council chairman has defected from the APC to join the ADC, while stakeholders in Okpoga have formally requested to produce the next House of Representatives member for their constituency in 2027.
