Ogun pilgrims arrive Saudi Arabia as Gateway Airport begins Hajj operations

The first batch of Muslim pilgrims from Ogun has arrived in Saudi Arabia for the 2026 Hajj. The contingent, consisting of 345 pilgrims, including 151 males and 194 females, landed at King Abdulaziz International Airport at 4:15 a.m. (Nigerian time) after departing from Gateway International Airport in Iperu. Governor Dapo Abiodun described this event as a significant milestone for the state's economic and aviation development.
