Oklahoma: Republican candidate Barry Christian found dead in his pickup

Barry Christian, an oil consultant and Republican candidate for the Oklahoma Senate, was found dead on April 30, 2026, in his pickup at the Sandy Sanders Wildlife Management Area. He had been reported missing the day before after failing to attend a scheduled meeting. His body was identified and transferred to the Medical Examiner's Office to determine the cause of death. Despite his passing, his name will appear on the ballots for the June 16, 2026 primaries.
