One Health must move from talk to action

The One Health meeting in Lyon is directly tied to decisions that will be made in Kenya at the Africa Forward Summit in Nairobi. Kenya must turn these discussions into concrete actions, as human, animal, and environmental health are interconnected, especially in rural communities. Outbreaks like Rift Valley Fever and anthrax highlight the need for coordination among public health, veterinary services, and environmental management. The challenge remains in implementing defined priorities, supported by adequate financing and technical capacity.
