One vigilante injured as troops rescue abducted civilian in Kwara

Troops of the Nigerian Army rescued a kidnapped civilian during a joint operation in Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State on April 30. The operation was initiated after intelligence indicated that a civilian had been abducted from Vera village. A brief exchange of fire occurred with the suspects, and two motorcycles believed to have been used by the kidnappers were recovered. One vigilante sustained a gunshot wound and was evacuated for medical attention.
