Ooni urges traditional rulers to strengthen role in tackling insecurity

At the grand finale of the 2026 Ifa Festival, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, called on traditional rulers across Yorubaland to strengthen collaboration and support efforts to tackle insecurity in their communities. He emphasized the role of cultural heritage and communal traditions in promoting peace. The monarch also prayed for the safe return of schoolchildren and teachers abducted in Oyo and Borno states.
