Health cooperation agreement concluded between Kenya and the United States

Kenya and the United States have officially launched a health cooperation agreement worth 207 billion Kenyan shillings, ending a long-standing dispute. The US had suspended its deployment in February 2026 due to ongoing legal proceedings. The Consumer Federation of Kenya (COFEK) and the Katiba Institute raised concerns about patient data confidentiality, particularly HIV and tuberculosis data.
