On June 5, 2026, troops of Operation Enduring Peace (OPEP) rescued a pastor and his wife who were kidnapped by bandits in Faggem village, Bokkos Local Government Area, Plateau State. The victims sustained injuries during the abduction and were taken to Bokkos medical clinic for treatment. The troops recovered eight empty cases of 7.62mm special ammunition at the scene and are pursuing the fleeing suspects.
